Sarah is one of my 2013 Senior Representatives and boy did she rock her session! From bringing the sass to posing with ducks, Sarah and I had so much fun! And finding ways to change outfits in the middle of the park definitely added to the excitement! Look at this girl.. isn’t she gorgeous?!?

Here’s more from my Mother’s Day Senior Portrait session with Zoe! This gorgeous girl came with the perfect outfit for those flowers! We loved that look so much she even changed back into it after we photographed her in some of the other outfits. While she totally rocked each look, this outfit really pulled all of the colors in the garden together. I can’t help but think she planned it! Continue reading

“A new baby is like the beginning of all things-wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities.” ~Eda J. Le Shan
I had the honor and pleasure to be a part of something pretty incredible… a gender reveal. And while we didn’t do it exactly by the book, it was still amazing. When they decided to do a gender reveal session, they hadn’t been told the sex of the baby yet. So, I headed to the party store and bought both blue and pink balloons. People watching us during the session must have thought she was having twins.. but thankfully, for Breanne and Justin’s sanity, there’s just one little bundle of joy in her tummy.
So.. take a look and enjoy both the suspense and joy that flows throughout…

Over the weekend I had the honor of photographing the beautiful Sarah. She is a rising senior at Midlothian High School and has a personality that truly shines! Her happy go lucky nature definitely helped out during our session as she was willing to climb, crawl and even break the law in order to get the perfect shots. Even though this one area was blocked off, we proceeded anyways and thankfully we did.. because we got this great shot. More to come!

This past Sunday, I headed out with Zoe to take her senior portraits and what made this session even more special was the fact that we both brought our moms along for the ride. When doing senior portraits, most people bring at least one other person with them.. to help with outfits, hair, makeup touch-ups, etc. However, I’ve never brought my mom along with me to a shoot. It was Mother’s Day and naturally I wanted to spend the day with her. I scheduled Zoe’s session without even realizing it was a holiday. Instead of rescheduling, I invited my mom along for trip. And thank goodness, I did. Madness awaited us when we arrived at the park. I’ve never seen so many people in one place before. Thanks to my mom, we were able to get some shots of Zoe without anyone in the background. Who knew she’d be such a help?!? I know she was so excited to see me in action and now to see the fruits of my labor… So, here is just a quick peek into Zoe’s session. Many more to come!

Morgan and Mark were such a fun couple to photograph. I am so grateful I had the opportunity of photographing them. Back in February, I hosted a Cutest Couples Contest on my facebook page and this couple was my lucky winner! With 219 votes, Morgan and Mark came out on top as Kristina Kerns Photography’s Cutest Couple. This past weekend the couple turned in their winnings and earned themselves a free photo session. While I have many more photos to share, here is a quick sneak peek into their session…

I adore the Lambert family… literally, adore them. They are wonderful people and such great friends! I am so honored to be able to show you these photos of Hunter and Sammi. They were so fun to photograph and very easy going.
We showed up at Maymont Park and the place was packed. It probably took us a good twenty minutes to even find a parking spot. When scheduling a session, I do my best to make sure there aren’t any events going on that day that would interfere with our photos, but for some reason.. this day didn’t work out exactly as planned. Upon arrival we found out that Maymont was hosting it’s annual herb fair and over a hundred vendors were there selling herbs, flowers, trees and bushes to the public. If you’ve ever been to Maymont, you know how huge this place is and let’s just say this event took up most of their open fields.
So, needless to say, we had to improvise. We wandered through the Italian and Japanese Gardens and were able to find some really good shots. Due to the massive amount of people at the park, it was difficult finding some privacy (especially for changing outfits), but we totally made it work!

Anna and Greg are such wonderful friends of mine and it’s been such a joy watching little Camden grow up. This family is one of the main reasons of why I am here today doing what I’m doing. I owe a lot to Anna and am so thankful for her trust and faith in me from the very beginning. They have such a beautiful family and it truly is an honor to photograph them each and every time. I’m already looking forward to the next session we do together. Until then, enjoy these from their session at Maymont Park.

Here’s a little sneak peek into the senior portraits I had last weekend. These two were definitely a challenge as they were my first set of twins getting their senior portraits done together, but I think the end results turned out really well! Each of them has such a special place in my heart and it was truly a honor to photograph both Hunter and Sammi. I can’t wait to show you more in the next few days!
