Do you celebrate Easter? I mean, really celebrate Easter? I’m not talking about searching for Easter eggs and receiving baskets of goodies. While all of that is fine and dandy (I mean, who doesn’t love chocolate bunnies..?), we need to remember the beautiful story that is behind the Easter season which is the foundation of our faith.
Our Savior was born and yes, we should rightfully celebrate that. But.. we must note that we are celebrating our Savior. And that came at Easter. We are here today as saved-by-grace Christians because Jesus died for our sins. He died and rose again proving once again of His wonderful righteousness. On Good Friday, Christ was crucified and buried, defeating sin and rebuilding the bridge between God and man. On Easter Sunday, He rose from the dead, essentially defeating death.
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
