As I was preparing for Ashley and Brian’s wedding, knowing that theirs was only the beginning to this year’s wedding season, I thought about making something creative to be used as a prop. Sure, I thought about banners, chalkboard signs and the like, but I wanted something a little different. And so I came up with these:

a revamp on life.

I’m seriously considering redoing my entire guest bedroom. We literally have done nothing to it since we moved in and it’s about time. It still has the ABC wallpaper border that the previous owners felt the need to put up. And it has these horribly bare white walls. It is definitely time for a revamp.

Have you ever sat back and looked at something and realized how badly it needed a revamp? It’s like one day you look in the mirror and realize you need to start exercising. The truth is you always knew you needed to do it, but now you’re finally taking the initiative. When your house gets messy, it’s not like you wake up one day and think a tornado went through your downstairs. In the days or even weeks leading up to that “ah-ha” moment, you knew deep down what really needed to be done. You need to hit the gym, your house needs cleaned, you want a career change, you need a new wardrobe, the list goes on. We can think of plenty of things in our life that need a complete makeover. But what about your relationship with God? Does your faith need a revamp?

As Christians, we sometimes put ourselves on auto-pilot and end up doing things without purpose, without thinking.
